Install NotaRBT step by step

You do it only once and it takes about 10 minutes. Follow the steps in order; each one tells you exactly where to click.

• 💻 A computerWindows or Mac. It does not work on a phone or tablet.

• 🔑 Your login for ABA Matrix / Office PuzzleThe usual one. NotaRBT never sees it.

1. Get Google Chrome

   Already have it? Look for a round icon in red, yellow and green with a blue circle in the middle on your desktop, the taskbar (Windows) or the Dock (Mac). If it is there, open it and go to step 2.

   ⬇ Download Google Chrome (free, Google's official page)

   • On Google's page click Download Chrome. A file called ChromeSetup.exe downloads.
   • Open it (at the bottom or top of your current browser, or in your Downloads folder) and click Yes if Windows asks. Chrome installs and opens by itself.
   • On Google's page click Download Chrome. googlechrome.dmg downloads.
   • Open it from Downloads, drag the Chrome icon onto the Applications folder, then open Chrome from Applications (or Launchpad).
   From here on, everything happens inside Chrome. If you are reading this page in another browser, open it again in Chrome: copy this address https://ops.davecorporate.com/notarbt/install.

2. Meet the parts of Chrome we will use

   This is the top part of Chrome. Look at the numbers: we use them in the next steps.

   • 1Address bar: the long box at the top where page addresses are typed.
   • 2Puzzle piece (Extensions): to the right of the address bar. That row of icons is the toolbar.
   • 3NotaRBT icon (a white ✓ on a teal square). It appears after step 7.
   • 4Side panel: it opens on the right when you click the NotaRBT icon.

3. Download NotaRBT

   ⬇ Download NotaRBT Version 0.11.0 · .zip file

   The file notarbt-extension-0.11.0.zip is saved in your Downloads folder. Chrome also shows it with a ⬇ arrow at the top right.

4. Unzip the file and keep the folder

   • Open File Explorer (the yellow folder icon on the taskbar) and go to Downloads.
   • Right-click notarbt-extension…zip → Extract All… → Extract. A folder with the same name (no .zip) appears.
   • Drag that folder into Documents.
   • Open Finder (the blue smiling face in the Dock) and go to Downloads.
   • Double-click notarbt-extension…zip. A folder with the same name appears.
   • Drag that folder into Documents.
   Do not delete or move that folder later: Chrome runs NotaRBT from there. If you delete it, NotaRBT stops working.

5. Open Chrome's extensions page

   For safety no web page can open it for you. Do this:
   • Click this button to copy the address: chrome://extensionsCopy
   • Click the address bar ①, paste (Ctrl+V⌘+V) and press Enter.
   Another way: menu ⋮ (top right) → Extensions → Manage Extensions.

6. Turn on "Developer mode"

   At the top right of that page there is a switch. Click it so it turns blue:

   Load unpackedPack extensionUpdate
   This is normal: it is how extensions that do not come from the Chrome store are installed. Nothing else changes on your computer.

7. Click "Load unpacked" and choose the folder

   Three buttons appear on the left (drawing above). Click Load unpacked, go to Documents, click once on the notarbt-extension… folder and click Select Folder (Mac: Select).

   Done: a NotaRBT card appears with its blue switch.

   Does it say Manifest file is missing? You chose a folder above it, or the .zip. Go into the notarbt-extension… folder until you see manifest.json inside, and select it.

8. Pin NotaRBT to the toolbar

   Click the puzzle piece ② (to the right of the address bar). This list opens: click the pin 📌 next to NotaRBT.

   Manage extensions
   Now the NotaRBT icon ③ always shows in the toolbar.

9. Open ABA Matrix / Office Puzzle and link NotaRBT

   • Open ABA Matrix (app.abamatrix.com) or Office Puzzle (your agency's address, ending in .officepuzzle.com) in Chrome and sign in as always.
   • Click the NotaRBT icon ③. The side panel ④ opens on the right.
   • Type the code from the email (e.g. ABCD-2345) and click Link.
   • Read the RBT statement, tick the box and click Accept.
   The code works once. If it expires, reply to the email and we send you a new one.

10. First steps

    • 👥 Read my cases: the first time, so NotaRBT learns your clients' behaviors and goals.
    • 📋 Pending notes: which notes you still have to do.
    • 📝 Prepare note: open the note in ABA Matrix / Office Puzzle and tell the session (typed or dictated with 🎙).
    • 📊 Enter DATA: dictate your numbers and NotaRBT marks them.
    • 📎 attaches documents (assessment, plan, past notes) for NotaRBT to use. ⏹ Stop halts the work at any time. ? opens help.
